Designs

The development of an independent product design is cost-intensive but generally provides for additional competitive advantages. In order to protect these expensively acquired competitive advantages, a special industrial property right is available in Germany, i. e. the registered design. Regarding the territory of the European Union, protection is provided by the (registered) community design and the so-called unregistered community design.
