    3. Where is the previously known subject matter, product or method described? (e.g. Patent No ... and/or publication in the specialist journal ...) What searches were carried out?
    4. Disadvantages of this previously known subject matter, product or method
      1. What disadvantages does this previously known subject matter, product or method have during its usage/function?
      2. What disadvantages arise during its manufacture?
      3. Do any other disadvantages arise?

  2. The invention

    1. Which of the aforementioned disadvantages of the previously known subject matter, product or method do I/we want to be overcome?

    A comprehensible and complete disclosure of the invention should include:
    1. An exact example with all the details of the subject matter (drawing) or exact and detailed description of the method (drawing)
    2. Are certain components new or modified?
    3. A description of a complete function sequence or a process in which the new or improved subject matter, the product or method is used or manufactured.

  4. Advantages of the new subject matter, product or method
    1. What advantages are obtained during the manufacture of the new subject matter, product or method?
    2. What advantages are obtained during usage of the new subject matter, product or method as prescribed?
    3. Are any other advantages obtained in connection with the new subject matter, product or method? (Is it promising to use the product, for example, in a completely different technical field, namely .....?)
